Here's a little peak at a finished object. The pattern is a freebie from WeeWonderfuls. I just love her designs. So sweet. I worked this up on cream Kona Cotton, making it look like PrincessZ as best I could. Her hair is a little dark, but I like it all the same. I also changed the doll she is holding to look like her beloved Lambie. Lambie is the first thing she noticed when I showed her the project and I think she really likes it.

My favorite part is the name underneath. I did it in my own handwriting and I think it makes it so much more special.

I do have a small issue in that I am not quite sure what I will be turning this into just yet. I had originally planned on it being a stocking shaped pillow, but one should never cut fabric when one has consumed an entire bottle of red wine by themselves. =) So maybe she'll become a little doll or a patch on a bigger pillow. My dream is that it will become a feature of our holiday decorations and she'll love it and want to take it with her when she's old enough to leave home (NEVER!) in a box of homemade decorations that she'll have wonderful memories about!
One is in the works for the SpacePirate as well, and it's almost done and will most likely be featured on next week's Stitchy Sunday. The stress is getting to me here at home - and I've been working on it in bed before attempting to sleep. He's super cute too!
And since I'm showing things off:
I found these in the linen closet, at the bottom of the pillowcase pile. I had completely forgotten about them. These are my first embroidery project EVER, I think I was maybe 8 or 9 at the time. My grandmother got them for me, and I remember them taking me forever and I was sooooooooo frustrated about the french knots. I also didn't really know about carrying yarn, so you can see where I skipped from one place to another. I know it was a stamped kit, complete with floss, needle and hoop.
